Why have I become a teacher?
I became a teacher because I love seeing things click in the minds of my students. I also truly believe that when we learn mathematics, we are learning more about God and his Creation, which means that I get to teach my students more about the one true God.
What is something that most people do not know about you?
I didn't start distance running until college. I was on my high school track team for two years and primarily ran the 400M dash. By God's providence, I ended up eating lunch with the girls' cross country captain one day in the spring of my freshman year of college. She invited me to go running with her and the next thing I knew, I was on the cross country team. I never stopped running, and now I enjoy running with my whole family!
Hebrews 12:1-2 - Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
