Why have you chosen to become a part of Eastside Christian School?
It is so evident that ECS is Christ-centered and I get very excited about being part of God's mighty work to encourage and build His kingdom. I joined the ECS family first as a parent six years ago with my oldest son, Nathan. He is now in sixth grade and I am proud to say that every year has been a gift and a blessing. All five of our kids now attend Eastside, Elizabeth in fourth, William in second, and the twins, Blaire and James in pre-first. Prior to having my five beautiful children, I worked as a teacher for ten years and loved every minute of it. I knew when I decided to stay home and raise our kids that God would some day call me back to teaching. I consider it a great privilege to be a parent and now a staff member in this ECS family.
Who is your most memorable teacher and why?
My second grade teacher, Mrs. Parker, will always be remembered because she saw my worth and advocated for me. Even though I had many struggles as a child academically and physically, she loved me genuinely and saw me as a child of God and treated me like a treasure. My prayer is that I can continue that legacy and share the love of Christ with each student and help each one mature in their unique journey God has marked out for them.
