Why have you become a teacher?

I enjoyed music so much throughout my life and wanted to continue helping others to find as much enjoyment in music as I had found. Teaching was a way to continue to participate in music and teach others also.

Who is your most memorable teacher and why?

My band director was a memorable teacher in high school and again in college. He always pushed me do things in music that I didn't think I could do. He helped me through many hard times in my family life. He was our church choir director, so he was a Christian in a public school I could go to if I needed to.
