The mission of Eastside Christian School is to “Equip students to be pure in character and strong in spirit as they use their talents and abilities to impact our world for Christ.” In following these foundational words established as a covenant between the church, home, and school, service projects become a vehicle whereby students, faculty, and assisting parents cooperatively serve the wider community.
Looking to God’s word, the verses found in Ephesians 6:7, “Serve wholeheartedly as if you are serving the Lord, not men,” and in I Peter 4:10, “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, fully administering God’s grace in its various forms,” direct service activities at Eastside Christian School. From making the building shine by cleaning windows, collecting shoes and clothing, working with young children in local preschools, providing used uniforms to students in other nations, and to supporting Orphan Concerns by sponsoring African children, our desire is to be Christ’s hands extended to all.
